How far in advance should I book a Yala safari?

We recommend booking at least 3 months ahead for peak season (December–April). Last-minute slots may be available but are limited.

Yes! Free cancellations up to 7 days before the safari. Later cancellations incur a 50% fee. Rescheduling depends on availability.

Early morning (5:30 AM) or late afternoon safaris during the dry season (May–September) offer the highest chances. Our guides track recent sightings daily.

Private tours (from $120/jeep) are ideal for:

  • Photographers (flexible stops)

  • Families with kids

  • Avoiding crowded shared jeeps

Options include:

  • Half-day (3–4 hours) – Morning/afternoon

  • Full-day (6+ hours) – Best for serious wildlife enthusiasts

Absolutely! Our jeeps have roll cages and child-safe seating. For kids under 6, we recommend shorter morning safaris.

No, night safaris are prohibited in Yala to protect wildlife. Safaris end by 6:30 PM.
